COMMUNITY PLANNING MEETINGS (Initial meetings without artist)

The following  is an ideal set of steps to a  community mural. However, each community will need to decide in which order these action items happen as well as when to bring in the artist. Some items that are discussed in the initial community meetings will probably be revisited in the design meetings with the artist, especially if additional community members attend these meetings. Each community is different based on number of people involved, you might be able to do just a few meetings, but you also might need a lot more.  There are usually four community planing meetings open to the public where people can share their thoughts, experiences, and ideas. These are followed by another four (or more)design meetings that are also open to the community to help work on or have input on the design.
